Export Records of DENIB

Exports which were recorded by the Denizli Exporters' Association amounted to USD 224 million in August. This figure is the highest value since 1994, when DENIB's first export figures were announced. The performance we showed in August was a holiday gift for all of us. Previously, we had the highest export value of USD 223 million in November of 2013.

Over the past two years, we have felt the effects of the recession in the global economy and the shrinking of world commodity trade. However, I would like to emphasize that; the warm climate dominated by the markets and the world economy are giving strong signals for renewed growth is also a clue to positive scenarios and new records for the times thereafter.

Locomotıve Sector Textile and Apparel

Textile and apparel exports, which increased by 5% in August to USD 133 million, accounted for approximately 60% of our total exports. Within this sector, the large share of the export is made up of towels, bathrobes, sheets and linen groups.

The export of these product groups in August is 82 million USD. And also, strong export increase is continue to experience in the sectors of electricity, electronics, mining, iron and nonferrous metals and food. The increase in the exporter sector diversity is hope and encouragement for the future.

As Denizli exporters, we believe that we will continue to contribute to our country's economy by continuing our activity in existing markets as well as present in new markets. We once again thank all our exporters for the export record we broke in August.
