Trade Mission from Denizli Exporters Association, targeting Cable Sector
Denizli Exporters Association is organizing a trade mission for the cable sector, simultaneously with the Matelec International Trade Fair for the Electrical and Electronics Industry in Madrid, the capital of Spain, between November 15-18, 2022.
A total of 11 companies from Denizli are participating in the trade mission, while 2 companies are participating as exhibitors at the fair. Hüseyin Memişoğlu, the President of Denizli Exporters Association, stating that they have organized an important organization for the cable sector evaluated the event:
"Cable exports are the second-largest exporter sector in our city. Last year, our cable sector's exports increased by 57% to 775 million dollars. This year, the increase in the January-October period was at the rate of 8%, and 676 million dollars in exports were achieved by our exporters in the first ten months of the year.
We need to consider cable exports along with copper wire exports as we can say that the two sectors are intertwined, related sectors. When we assess our cable and copper wire exports together, we see reaching 1 billion 435 million dollars annually last year. Our two sectors account for more than 30 percent of our total exports.
We will bring together 11 exporter companies with the buyers here, with our delegation organized for Spain. We believe that these meetings will provide positive outcomes for our exports.
At the same time, two members of our association are participants in the Matelec Fair. We visited them at their stands and presented our best wishes.
As Denizli Exporters Association, we have accomplished significant events for our natural stone, machinery, and cable sector in the last two months. Next week, we will promote our food sector in our city at the Halal Expo in Istanbul. We continue our efforts to strengthen and increase competitiveness of our export sectors.”
Sedat Erikoğlu, the Vice President of Denizli Exporters Association, sharing his views on the trade mission and said:
"Our cable and copper wire sectors are locomotives together with textile in our city's exports. We account for approximately one-third of Denizli's total exports as a sector.
In our trade mission to Spain, we will bring together our exporter companies with the importer companies.
I hope our mission to be fruitful for both our sector and our exports."
