DENİB Builds Trade Bridges in the United States / Los Angeles with Home Textile Companies
The Denizli Exporters Association (DENİB) is organizing a sectoral trade mission aimed at the home textiles sector in Los Angeles, one of the major trade centers of the United States, between 17–22 November 2025.
Within the scope of the program, representatives of 16 companies from Denizli will have the opportunity to present their products, evaluate the demand structure in the region, and establish new business connections through the bilateral business meetings they will hold with U.S. foreign company officials on 19 November.
Within the framework of the contacts carried out as part of the mission, our DENİB President Mr. Hüseyin Memişoğlu visited the Consul General of Türkiye in Los Angeles, Ms. Menekşe Onuk, and made evaluations regarding Denizli's export potential in home textiles as well as other sectors, market diversification, and cooperation opportunities in trade with the United States. During the visit, an exchange of views was also held on the commercial potential of Los Angeles and the sectoral demand structure specific to the region.
Regarding the mission program, DENİB President Hüseyin Memişoğlu stated the following:
“The United States, with its scale and purchasing power, occupies a strategic position for Denizli's exports. In 2024, we carried out exports worth 408,2 million dollars to the United States with an increase of 2,1 percent. In the 10-month period covering January–October 2025, exports from our city to the United States reached 360 million dollars with an increase of 4,1 percent. The United States continues to be the second strongest market of our city throughout the year. The United States is also an important center for our textile and apparel products. In the 10-month period of 2025, our sectoral exports reached 182 million dollars with an increase of 6,5 percent. Our sectoral exports to the United States, which exceed 200 million dollars annually with a 16 percent share, are a concrete indicator of the activity in this market. The United States has strengthened its position as the second-ranked market in Denizli's exports with the performance it has displayed for many years.
As Denizli, in towels specifically, we maintained our nationwide leadership in 2024 with total exports of 412 million dollars. In the 10-month period of 2025, towel exports worth 345.4 million dollars were carried out from our city. In this period, our towel exports to the United States reached 113 million dollars with a 33 percent share and an increase of 4.5 percent. By the end of the year, our towel exports to the United States are expected to exceed 130 million dollars.”
“We believe that this program we are holding in Los Angeles will strengthen our companies' position in the U.S. market and open the door to new business partnerships.”
Turkish Towels: Strong Brand Positioning in the U.S. Market
DENİB President Hüseyin Memişoğlu also touched upon the efforts to enhance the brand value of Turkish towels, which have long had a strong perception of quality in the United States:
“With our Turkish Towels brand, we have been carrying out efforts since 2015 to strengthen both recognition and the perception of quality in the United States. In this context, our goal is to ensure the sustainability of our towel exports, make our brand more visible, and respond more strongly to value-added demand in the U.S. market.
As a result of the cooperation carried out with Turkish Airlines (THY), it is aimed for our Turkish Towels brand to reach the end consumer. In this direction, our communication activities aimed at the U.S. market will continue in a planned manner.”
“Our Los Angeles mission creates an important ground for our companies to consolidate their place in the market. I hope that the program creates new business opportunities for all participants.”
