Strong Participation from Denizli Exporters Association to Marmomac Fair

Denizli Exporters Association (DENIB) supported its member companies with participation in Marmomac Fair.

With its 54 sqm stand in the fair, in which 22 Denizli companies are also participants, DENIB joined in the Marmomac Fair for the first time.

Hüseyin Memişoğlu, President of DENIB, stating the 6.5% share of that the mining sector in city's total exports, added the following about the fair:

"Our mining sector has a very important place for our city. Last year, our export in natural stone valued 290 million dollars. The more important issue is that 245 million of the 290 million dollars of exports is processed stone. In other words, it is more value-added.

We ranked first in the processed natural stone exports of our country, with this data.

As of today, the export of our sector is at around 5% increase. If this trend continues in the upcoming months, we will exceed the 300-million-dollar export ceiling for the first time in 2022. Our next target in the natural stone sector will be to reach 400-million-dollars and then 500-million-dollars on an annual basis.

This year, as Denizli Exporters Association, we participated in Marmomac Fair for the first time. We aimed both to provide support for our members and a meeting area for our companies, who are not participants but visitors in the fair. In the fair, attended by 151 companies from Turkiye in total, we represent Denizli with 22 companies. I hope Marmomac Fair to be beneficial and fruitful for all participants."

Deputy of Denizli, Şahin Tin and Commercial Attaché of Milan, Ahmet Çetinkayış, visited Denizli Exporters Association booth and Denizli companies and extending wishes for success.

Sharing his views about the fair, Deputy of Denizli Şahin Tin said: "Marmomac is one of the most important fairs in the world in terms of the sector. Denizli is strongly represented here.

We see companies from Denizli closely follow the trends and exhibit world-class products during our stand visits.

This is already reflected in our export figures. We are in the first place in the processed natural stone group in our country.

I hope success to all our exhibitors participating in the fair, and I hope it will be an promising fair."
