DENİB Monitored Industry Trends of the Cable, Enameled Coil Wire, and Copper Wire Sectors in Dubai

"DENİB Monitored Industry Trends of the Cable, Enameled Coil Wire, and Copper Wire Sectors in Dubai”

The Middle East Energy Fair, one of the most significant trade events for the electricity, electronics, and energy sectors in the Middle East and Gulf Region, is being held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, between April 7-9, 2025.

DENİB President Hüseyin Memişoğlu shared the following remarks regarding the fair:

"In Denizli, which exports 4.5 billion dollars a year in more than 3,000 product groups to 185 countries, the electrical-electronics sector, including the cable and enameled coil wire group, ranked second in our general exports with a 20% share and 880 million dollars in 2024. In 2025, exports so far amounted to 250 million dollars with an increase of 23%.

Of course, here we should consider our cable and enameled coil wire exports together with our copper wire exports. Because we can define both the electrical-electronics sector, which includes these product groups, and the iron-non-ferrous metals sector, which includes copper wire, as sectors that are actually intertwined.

Last year, copper wire exports from Denizli accounted for 14% of Denizli's total exports. In 2024, the total export value of cable, enameled coil wire and copper wire groups exceeded $1.4 billion.

At the Middle East Energy Dubai 2025 Fair, the sector's most innovative solutions, sustainability-focused technologies, and collaboration opportunities are presented together. As DENİB, we have made contacts and evaluated cooperation grounds for our members to be more effective in these markets. We will continue to take part in such platforms to increase the competitiveness of our members in the international market, to open the door to new opportunities and to expand Denizli's export vision."

Globally, simple production is no longer sufficient; responsible and environmentally sustainable production is now at the forefront

Highlighting their awareness of the business world's responsibility to reduce carbon emissions and adopt clean energy in line with the European Green Deal and sustainability goals, President Memişoğlu continued:

“Globally, simple production is no longer sufficient; responsible and environmentally sustainable production is now at the forefront. Sustainability in the energy sector necessitates the transition to green technologies and the reduction of carbon footprint. There is a serious awareness and transformation in Denizli in this direction. We are working to make this change visible in international markets.

We hope the Middle East Energy Dubai Fair proves successful for all stakeholders, and I would like to emphasize that we will continue our efforts to increase the international recognition of our cable, enameled coil wire, and copper wire sectors.”

DENİB Vice President Sedat Erikoğlu, in his evaluation, stated:

"In 2024, Denizli's exports to the United Arab Emirates in the Electrical-Electronics sector amounted to 1 million dollars. This fair, organized in a strategic location such as Dubai, is very valuable for our companies that want to open up to the Middle East market. Demand for cables and conductor products in the region is steadily increasing.  As Denizli, we have both the production capacity and quality to meet this demand.

The Middle East market is a strategic target for our companies. In this organization, which stands out with its technological infrastructure and trade potential, we reflected Denizli's production power and export vision.

It is a great advantage for our companies in Denizli to participate in such fairs in order to be more effective in this market. We expect the contacts we made at the fair to turn into commercial collaborations in the coming period. We will do our part to increase the share of our sector in the international arena."

Stating that they aim for our members operating in the sector to participate more effectively in the green transformation processes in line with the information and connections we have obtained within the scope of the fair, DENİB Vice President Sedat Erikoğlu added:

“Middle East Energy Dubai 2025 is not only a commercial event but also one shaped by environmental responsibility. We had the chance to examine many innovations from solar energy to battery systems, from solutions to reduce carbon emissions to smart energy management. We also had the opportunity to introduce Denizli's production power in these fields in the international arena.”
