Denizli Exporters Association Organized B2B Meetings in the United Arab Emirates
Denizli Exporters Association (DENIB) organized an international marketing program for the home textile sector in Dubai between 22-26 October 2023 to increase exports to the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Within the scope of "Denizli Home Textile Cluster Project” carried out by Denizli Exporters Association with the support of the Ministry of Trade, 9 project member companies and 14 representatives held B2B meetings with the leading buyers of the UAE in Dubai.
In the event, approximately 100 B2B meetings were held with 40 buyer companies from the United Arab Emirates. Muhammed Emin Erkal, Dubai Commercial Attaché of Türkiye, provided market information and evaluation for participant companies and extended wishes for a successful program during his visit.
DENIB President Hüseyin Memişoğlu, stated the following regarding the international marketing program which also includes wholesale and retail center visits:
"Our country's exports to the United Arab Emirates amounted to 3,7 billion dollars in 2022 with an increase of 13,5 percent. In the January-September period of 2023, our export volume reached 3,5 billion dollars with an increase of 36,5 percent compared to the same period of the previous year.
Our country's textile-apparel exports to the United Arab Emirates increased by 1 percent in 2022 and extended to 226 million dollars. In the first three quarters of 2023, our country's exports from the sector decreased by 21 percent to 139 million dollars.
Denizli's exports to the United Arab Emirates; we see that it reached 52,3 million dollars with an increase of 35,3 percent in 2022 and 40,7 million dollars with an increase of 7 percent in the January-September period of 2023.
I believe that our exports to the United Arab Emirates will gradually increase in the coming period with the support of our international marketing programs.
As DENIB, with the support of our Ministry of Trade, we will continue our international promotion programs for our various sectors in the last months of the year. We continue planning international marketing programs for Poland, Russia and Saudi Arabia."
