Denizli Exporters Association is in Middle East Energy Dubai 2023
Middle East Energy, one of the most important trade events in Middle East and Gulf Region in electricity, electronics and energy sectors, is being held between 7-9 March, 2023, in United Arab Emirates, Dubai. The interest in the fair is quite high, in which Denizli Exporters Association takes place with “We Care About Future” theme.
The President of Board of Denizli Exporters Association, Hüseyin Memişoğlu shared below remarks about the fair:
“We diversified the fairs we have attended on sectoral basis in 2023. As you know, we participated in Heimtextil on January. Now, we have taken our place in the Middle East Energy 2023, in electric-electronics sector. Moreover, in this month, we will promote our prominent sectors in Turkish Export Products Expo, which will take place in Riyad between 19-21 March.”
Denizli, exporting to 185 countries with almost 3.100 product groups, for approximately 5 billion dollars a year, the electrical-electronics sector, including the cable sector, ranked second in our overall exports with 17% share in 2022.
We need to consider our cable exports together with our copper wire exports, of course. Because we may define both electrical-electronics sector, which includes the cable, and the non-ferrous metals sector, which includes copper wire, as sectors that are actually intertwined.
Our city's copper wire exports accounted for 13% of Denizli's exports last year. In 2022, the share of cable and copper wire groups, total export value of which exceeded 1.4 billion dollars, in the general exports of our province is over 30 percent."
Sustainability is at the top of our agenda
Stating that they are conscious of the responsibility of the business world to realize sustainable and circular production as a result of reducing carbon dioxide emissions and transforming the energy used into clean energy in line with the European Green Deal and sustainability goals, President Memişoğlu continued his words as follows:
"Sustainability is at the top of our agenda. In this context, it is our priority to follow the technologies developing all over the world and to adopt practices that can be efficient, and most importantly, to do our part against global problems, especially the climate crisis for our exporters.
At the Middle East Energy, we will also have the opportunity to observe and research examples of good practices around the world. We will evaluate how we can be more efficient for our members and exports in terms of sustainability.
With over 20 thousand visitors, I hope Middle East Energy Dubai Fair to be successful for all stakeholders and I'd like to state that we will continue our efforts to increase the awareness of our cable / copper wire sectors in the international arena."
