Denizli Exporters Association Focuses on Overseas Countries

Denizli Exporters Association organized a sectoral trade mission to Japan between February 25 – March 1, 2023 with the aim of strengthening its trade relations and increase its exports with Japan.

Nearly 50 Japanese buyers from 32 prominent companies in Japan's home textile sector participated in the opening program, to which Türkiye's Ambassador of Tokyo, Korkut Güngen, Tokyo Chief Commercial Counsellor, Mukaddes Nur Yılmaz, and President of Denizli Exporters Association, Hüseyin Memişoğlu attended together with participant companies and sector representatives.

13 Companies from Denizli are in the Trade Mission

Denizli Exporters Association's President, Hüseyin Memişoğlu, shared his remarks about the sectoral trade mission:

"We have initiated our program for overseas countries with our event that we will execute within the scope of our trade mission activities with 13 Denizli companies. With the support of our Ministry of Trade, we will bring our exporter companies together with foreign buyers, in both cluster projects, and sectoral trade & buyer missions for overseas countries in the following period.

In 2022, our country's export to Japan has reached up to 620 million USD with an increase of 15,5%. Export to Japan from Denizli is 1,9 million USD with 2% increase in 2022. Textile and apparel sector, in which home textiles has 38% share, is outstanding among leading sectors.
